Yamaha Virago XV535 blue motorbike J reg 1991 taxed & tested in Bourne, Gloucestershire for sale
Reluctant sale due to house move where there will be no space - but fully acknowledge that my bike has not been properly used over the years and someone else deserves to ride it. Runs beautifully - had the carbs and jets sorted a few years ago and never had any problem after that. Sails through its MOTs; all paperwork available. Tyres are good, battery is relatively new - bike starts first time every time. I bought it on passing my bike test in 1996 - the mileage is honest and accurate at 15,660. Not a practical vehicle once children came along; lack of opportunity to ride and then frankly I started to lose my nerve. ! Always garaged. Air cooled v twin etc but you'll know all that. Body work lets it down slightly - I have dropped it a couple of times once when I was stationery and once when I was trying to do a u-turn in the road and I was going very slowly! Chrome is a bit pitted, there is some light tarnishing & rust spots etc. Paintwork needs t-cutting to restore shiny. Ride magazine rated it in December 1995 as " a neat little bike, the XV535 scores on every count. It's fuss free, cheap to run and well established. Plenty of good reasons to own one" I'm not selling my leathers or boots in case I buy another in due course! They also said top speed 101 mph; average consumption 47 mpg; tank range 120 miles; weight 182 kg. Happy to answer any questions or supply further photos.
